Winger
1997 Dark Bay Thoroughbred Gelding
16.1 hands, bay gelding
THIS IS A COURTESY POST FOR A NYHR HORSE THAT NEEDS TO BE REHOMED
Winger was adopted many years ago from New York Horse Rescue. He has been in a great home, but sadly his adopter needs to re home him. Winger is a sound, athletic thoroughbred who needs a great home. He has had extensive natural horsemanship ground training, nice ground manners and a pleasure in the barn. He can be stabled with pretty much anyone. Winger needs a strong, experienced rider. His training has been limited, has been to a few (English) shows and he has done well as he is pretty. Under saddle he is unbalanced, very sensitive to riders aids and heavy on his forehand. When in a regular program he has tons of potential. He needs a new home because his owner does not have the time to keep him in a program. He acts like a 4 year old, nothing nasty. Great home only. Potential adopters will be screened by his current adopter. Winger is located in Howell, NJ. Contact Connie ckirman@verizon.net

THIS IS A COURTESY POST FOR A NYHR HORSE THAT NEEDS TO BE REHOMED
This good looking mare was adopted as a foal through the New York Horse Rescue PMU Adoption Program. She was saved by her kind adopter from life on a Canadian PMU farm. This mare encountered an injury during transportation from the PMU ranch and is not sound to ride. Potential adopters will be screened by her current adopter. This mare is located in Cadyville, NY. Dolly
2006 Buckskin Tobiano Paint APHA Mare
(unregistered but registration papers available)
14.1 1/2h
Dolly is a very nice APHA mare. She is slighter built and has a very pretty look. Dolly is green broke and will need a rider who has the time to put some training into her and give her a good 'tune up'. Dolly was privately owned, but unfortunately with young children, her owner didn't have the time to ride her. Originally purchased to be used as a pony for children, given the proper training, this is a career that she would be well suited for. This is a lovely mare and her donor is heartbroken. An excellent home is a MUST.

1 starts
$2,698 lifetime earnings
Glorified Girl is a BIG mare. She is well bred, by Honour and Glory (Relaunch) and out of Mamas Last Girl (Distinctive Pro). This mare would be ideally suited for a breeding program and would probably cross nicely with a Warmblood. She will come with a copy of her registration papers. Glorified Girl was retired from racing with a knee injury. However, she did train well and showed a lot of speed. This mare is tall, high withered and well put together. The photo definitely does not do her justice. GG would be a good choice for an adopter looking for a quality addition to a breeding program.

River Heat is a really lovely gelding with a beautiful head, build and disposition. The photo does not do him justice. River Heat was in race training and started to bow a tendon. His owner and trainer gave him five months off and then brough him back to the track. Once his training had resumed, he had a myectomy (cutting of the strap muscles to improve breathing) and then his bow became aggrevated. His kind owner decided to end his race career in hopes of finding him a good home. River Heat is a super well bred gelding. His sire is River Keen and is dam is a Allen's Prospect mare. Vivacious Contessa
AQHA Mare (no papers, registration # X0578388)
16H
1 start, 350 furlongs, 5th place
1999
Vivacious Contessa is a racing bred Appendix Quarter horse. She was purchased in early May 2012 at the New Holland PA Livestock Auction by a representative of New York Horse Rescue (New Holland Direct). She was sold without registration papers. Sadly, she had been sold only 3 days early at an auction in South Carolina by a dealer and was then trucked to PA. This is a running bred Quarter Horse which means she has a lot of Thoroughbred blood. Her sire is Ronas Ryon who goes back to Top Deck and her sire's dam is a granddaughter of Three Bars (another wonderful Thoroughbred). Her dam, Famulus, an appendix, is by Hemp Meyers who is by Hempen, a Thoroughbred. Famulous is out of Native Goodtime who is by Raise a Native (a well known Thoroughbred). Vivacious Contessa is a pretty and well built mare. She should be a very useful horse. Vivacious Contessa has had some training for reuse as an event horse. This mare is sound and is ready for a new career.
